Economist or Accountant - Aviation

Our continuing expansion has resulted in an opportunity for a consultant with the ability to deal with the financial side of aviation. This includes airlines, airports and air traffic services providers in both public and private organisations and in an international environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a broad range of assignments. Therefore, as a minimum, you will need to have:

• an academic or professional qualification in business, economics or finance;
  
• a demonstrable track record of dealing with economics and accounting - statutory and management;
  
• the ability to communicate well on paper and face-to-face;
  
• a good working knowledge of standard Micro soft products as "tools of the trade".
  

It would be particularly useful if you also have hands-on experience of statistical methods, modelling techniques and international accounting.

As important as the technical skills, is the ability to work as a fully participating member of a team and to build good working-level rapport with clients. Many of our assignments have mixed project teams comprising both Icon and client staff.

Icon is based in the UK and most of our clients are in Western Europe. Therefore domicile in this region is preferred, and having the flexibility to travel is important.
